C’s latest project at Time Out, London Through a Lens, launches on Wednesday evening at the Getty Images Gallery (exhibition runs from Thursday). C chose the pictures for the book, organised them, and wrote the captions (although not the ones used by the Telegraph). “Think of it,” she told the Telegraph, “as an idiosyncratic photo album, amassed by a very long-lived relative with wide-ranging tastes, and a somewhat odd sense of humour.” Ok then, we will.
Talk about dark horses… Sounds excellent.
I mean ‘looks’ excellent. And where are the Daleks? Can’t we get a sneak preview… given your contacts an’ all?
Even with access like mine, some things have proved too difficult.
Found the daleks on the Telegraph site. The book looks superb. I hope they haven’t all been sold before I get back to UK. Clever clever clever C. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Dark shining horse.
Great collection. I’m especially drawn to the White City photo; amazing architecture, and a swan boat too. For me though the heart of the image is the young woman whose face is turned toward the child, or the photographer. I wonder if she senses in this moment of the shutter firing our presence, our scrutiny across the years.
