    Reminds me of late-ish Art Deco in the colonies, those ocean-liner balconies. Latticed window screens, frangipani, crinum spider lilies. And Galle is another of those Dutch East Indies heritage sites, isn’t it? Derelict VOC forts and jungly bits.
