What is the image source?
Hi anzanhoshin: It’s a photograph taken by my partner, C, of a shipwreck on a Greek island. I photoshopped it a bit. The first time I used it was in an ironic reference to one of NASA’s carefully staged “Hey! Life on Mars! (We haven’t found it.)” announcements. This time I just used it because I like its drained Ballardian values.
The composition of the photograph is quite spacious but vivid with its perspective, the horizontal and verticals. The tones of the graphic tweaking are actually quite lively (depending perhaps on what kind of life) and the graffito especially nice. I hope you don’t mind I’ve saved a copy to perhaps work into a device wallpaper.
